Laura is the Owner and Creator of Poppy Petals Jewelry. Growing up, she traveled to various Craft Shows around the United States to help her mother, who was a successful International Jewelry Designer. Laura has always enjoyed showcasing her creative side by painting, throwing pottery, creating various art pieces, and diy projects.

In 2017, she was traveling every week with her full time job and living out of hotel rooms and her suitcase. After working 10 hour days behind a computer screen and programming software, she needed a creative outlet to express herself. One day, she decided to buy a few supplies that would fit in her backpack while she traveled for work and made some of her friends jewelry in her hotel room. A couple of her friends had sensitive skin and had a hard time finding jewelry that they could wear, so Laura dove head first into researching various types of metals to find out what causes skin sensitivity to jewelry, what type of materials are safe for sensitive skin, and what materials hold up the longest without tarnishing. She continued using quality materials and making jewelry for family and friends until she started receiving custom requests from people outside of her immediate circle.

In 2019, Laura decided to turn her hobby into a business and opened her Etsy Shop, created her own website, and started getting involved with Craft Shows in various states. She continues to be devoted to delivering quality jewelry with excellent customer service! Each necklace is hand-stamped and handcrafted by her and every item has the individual buyer in mind, so no two pieces are the same. Laura loves designing new pieces and has turned what was once just a hotel room hobby into a successful business. She loves creating new designs and has designed custom pieces for people all around the globe!
